Who am I? I’m Jackie, a UX designer with a background of accounting. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Vancouver. When I’m not hold up in my room working out the next big project, you can probably find me at the bowling alley or chasing sunsets.
Why I Chose UX Design
Before I went into UX Design, I was an accountant for 3 years. I loved looking at the financial health of a company, looking at data to spot trends and to give insights to help the company that I worked at make the right business decisions. The work I was doing was great, but it always felt like I was missing something in my work. While I was helping the business grow, it never felt like what I was contributing was mine, I needed something I could call my own, something I can be proud of an say “hey, I built that”, that’s when I was introduced to UX Design. While working on projects, thinking of ways to solve users problems I was more creative than I ever was and more proud of the designs that I built.
